Those fine spider-web scratches you see under sunlight are thousands of micro-scratches in the clear coat, most of them put there by automatic car washes and dirty wash mitts. No wax hides them. They have to be machine-polished out.

Every panel is checked with inspection lighting before, during and after correction. If a defect is still there, it hasn't left the shop — and you'll be told what can and can't be safely removed.

Inspection & quote
We look at the paint under proper lighting, measure what we're working with, and tell you honestly which correction stage your vehicle actually needs. Quotes are free.

Decontamination wash
Full exterior wash, wheels and wheel wells, bug and tar removal, iron and fallout dissolver, then clay bar. Every correction and coating package includes this — polishing over bonded contaminants just grinds them into the paint.

Machine correction
One to three stages depending on the finish, from a light dual action polish to rotary cutting on heavily defected paint. Spot and complete wet sanding is available by quote.

Panel wipe & coating
All polishing oils are stripped so the coating bonds to bare clear coat, then Feynlab ceramic is applied panel by panel and levelled. Wheels can be removed and coated front and back.

Cure & handover
The coating cures indoors before the vehicle leaves. You go home with aftercare instructions and, on V2 and Ultra, your warranty paperwork.

Good to know. Every vehicle is inspected on arrival — heavily soiled interiors may carry a heavy cleaning fee, and vehicles with excessive animal hair carry a 100% surcharge. As of January 1, 2026 we book cleaning and detailing services for model year 2017 and newer vehicles only.

How much does ceramic coating cost in Guelph?
Feynlab ceramic coating at Funken Auto Spa starts at $749.99 for Ceramic Lite. Ceramic V2 is $1,374.99 with a three year warranty, and Ceramic Ultra is $1,999.99 with a five year warranty.
Paint correction is quoted separately and is required first — coating a defective finish just seals the defects in permanently. Wheel coating with the wheels removed is an additional $500, or $700 on trucks and SUVs.
What's the difference between paint correction and ceramic coating?
Paint correction is machine polishing that physically removes swirl marks, wash scratches and oxidation from the clear coat. It restores gloss and clarity that were lost.
Ceramic coating is a durable protective layer applied on top afterwards. It makes the car far easier to wash, adds chemical and UV resistance, and holds gloss for years. Correction fixes the paint; coating protects it. You want both, in that order.
How long will my car be in the shop?
Plan on two to three days for paint correction and coating. The vehicle is washed and decontaminated, corrected in stages, panel-wiped, coated, and then left to cure indoors before it leaves.
Detailing packages are quicker — the decontamination wash is a half day, Pro Clean is a full day. Anything with interior shampooing should stay overnight so the carpets and upholstery dry properly.
Do you service vehicles from outside Guelph?
Constantly. We're at 775 Woodlawn Rd W, Unit 4 in Guelph, and clients drive in from Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Milton, Rockwood, Fergus, Elora, Erin, Acton, Georgetown, Puslinch, Burlington and Oakville.
For Feynlab Industrial corrosion work on equipment, trailers or fleet vehicles, mobile application is available — call to arrange it.
Do you take older vehicles?
As of January 1, 2026, cleaning and detailing packages are booked for model year 2017 and newer vehicles only.
Paint correction, ceramic coating and Feynlab Industrial corrosion work can still be quoted on older vehicles by request — call (519) 824-0341 and we'll talk about what's realistic.
Is a deposit required?
Paint correction and ceramic coating packages require a 25% deposit at booking, because they take the bay out of circulation for multiple days. Standard detailing packages don't require a deposit.
Every vehicle is inspected on arrival. Heavily soiled interiors may carry a heavy cleaning fee, and excessive animal hair carries a 100% surcharge — if that's likely, tell us up front and we'll quote it properly.
Is ceramic coating worth it on an Ontario winter car?
It's arguably where it pays off most. Road salt, brine and winter grit are exactly what a coating's chemical resistance is designed for, and a coated car releases that film far more easily during a wash — which means less contact, which means fewer new swirls.
For the underside, that's a different product: Feynlab Industrial is a one-time spray-applied corrosion coating, and unlike annual drip oil it doesn't need redoing every autumn.
