Paint correction
& ceramic coating

Correct the paint. Then seal it. Done in that order, a ceramic coating locks in a finish better than the day the car left the factory — and holds it for years.

Order matters

A coating doesn't fix paint. It preserves it.

A ceramic coating is optically clear and stays put for years. That's the whole appeal — and the whole risk. Whatever the paint looks like the day it's coated is what you're committing to.

Coat over swirl marks and you've sealed the swirl marks in. That's why every coating job here starts with decontamination and correction, and why we'll tell you honestly if your paint needs more work than you were expecting.

Step one

Paint correction stages

Every correction package includes a full exterior decontamination wash first — debris, iron fallout and overspray have to come off before a pad touches the paint. Prices shown are for cars; trucks, vans and SUVs are extra.

Wet sanding available by quote. Spot and complete wet sanding can address defects that polishing alone won't reach. It's assessed case by case — paint thickness decides what's safe. Plan on 2–3 days in the shop for correction and coating work.

Step two

Feynlab ceramic coating

Feynlab makes some of the most respected coating chemistry in the industry, and it's only sold through certified installers — which is what makes the written warranty on V2 and Ultra worth something.

Feynlab Ceramic Lite

Entry-level protection

$749.99

A serious step up from wax or sealant

  • Strong hydrophobic water behaviour
  • Far easier washing, less contact with paint
  • Added gloss and UV resistance
  • Good match for a single stage correction

Feynlab Ceramic Ultra

5‑year warranty

$1,999.99

The long-term answer

  • Written five year warranty

Book a coating

Wheel coating add-on — $500. Wheels come off, get cleaned and prepped front and back, coated, and go back on. Brake dust rinses off instead of baking on. Add $200 for trucks and SUVs.

Self-healing coatings available by quote. Feynlab's self-healing chemistry lets light marring disappear with heat. Suitability depends on the finish — ask and we'll tell you whether it's right for your paint.

Aftercare

How to not waste your coating

A coating changes how you should wash the car, not whether you should. Every vehicle leaves with written aftercare instructions — this is the short version.

  • Do use a pH-neutral shampoo and the two-bucket method with a clean microfibre mitt.
  • Do dry with clean microfibre or a filtered blower, and wash in shade.
  • Don't run it through an automatic wash with spinning brushes — that's what put the swirls there originally.
  • Don't wax or polish over a coating. It does nothing useful and can mask the hydrophobics.
  • Do get bird droppings and bug splatter off promptly — a coating buys you time, not immunity.

Questions

Coating & correction FAQ

How much is ceramic coating for a car in Guelph?

Feynlab Ceramic Lite is $749.99, Ceramic V2 is $1,374.99 with a three year warranty, and Ceramic Ultra is $1,999.99 with a five year warranty.

Paint correction is priced separately from $369.99. Coating the wheels with the wheels removed adds $500, or $700 on trucks and SUVs. A 25% deposit is required at booking.

How long does ceramic coating actually last?

Ceramic V2 carries a three year warranty and Ceramic Ultra a five year warranty. In practice, longevity depends heavily on how the car is washed and stored.

A garage-kept car washed properly will outlast the warranty comfortably. A car put through a brush wash weekly will not — the brushes physically abrade the coating.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Almost always. The coating is clear and it's staying on the car for years, so it preserves exactly what's underneath it. Coat over swirls and you've made those swirls semi-permanent.

If your paint genuinely is in excellent condition — a new car with no dealer-inflicted wash marks, for instance — a light polish may be all that's needed. We'll tell you which situation you're in after inspecting it.

What's the difference between one, two and three stage correction?

Single stage ($369.99) is a dual action polish. It lifts gloss and clarity on paint that's already in decent shape.

Two stage ($599.99) adds a cutting step before the polish, removing the bulk of swirls and heavier wash marks. This is what most daily-driven cars need.

Three stage ($1,000.00) uses a rotary cut, then a dual action cut, then a finishing polish. It's for heavily defected or long-neglected paint where the goal is maximum recovery.

Is ceramic coating worth it in an Ontario winter?

Winter is arguably where it pays for itself. Road salt and brine are precisely the chemical attack a ceramic coating resists, and a coated car sheds winter film far more easily.

That last part matters more than people expect: easier washing means less scrubbing, which means fewer new swirl marks. For the underbody, that's a different product — see Feynlab Industrial corrosion coating.

How do I wash a ceramic coated car?

pH-neutral shampoo, two-bucket method, clean microfibre mitt — or a touchless wash. Dry with clean microfibre or a filtered blower, and stay out of direct sun.

Avoid automatic washes with spinning brushes, and don't apply wax or polish over the coating. Full written aftercare comes with the vehicle at handover.

Can you coat a wrapped or PPF-covered car?

Ask us. Feynlab makes coatings formulated for different substrates, and what's appropriate depends on the specific film or wrap and its condition. Bring it by or send photos and we'll give you a straight answer.
